Will brake cleaner rip off my caliper paint?
Will brake cleaner rip off my caliper paint?
I need to redo my calipers because they are chipping but I need to clean them before hand. If I use brake cleaner, will it rip through the current paint on the calipers?
FYI- A bunch of that brake cleaner dripped on the garage floor and ripped through the paint there. But the caliper paint was an epoxy so it might be tougher.
Let me know....

zman187 is right that stuff is like death in a can, i should know i go threw like 20cans a week. ur still gonna need to use a wire brush to get ever little bit of paint off as well, the spray wont work magic but is sure likes the chew threw things....
I was doing a brake change and it stripped the paint off of my garage floor in seconds....... started bubbling up...... i'd hate to see a drop fall on my car paint
