I saw the photo someone posted a while back. I think it was on a 3rd gen. It did not look real good, I don't think it was painted to match. Although I am sure if it was done right it could look pretty smooth.

What about the louvers like on the older GP's? Not sure if the GTP's have them.....the older gran prix's did. One on each side of the hood....toward the right and left edges...functional of course....and painted body color

Those are the one's that I got. My body shop tech. is going to mold them in for me. It was a hard decision, though, because I wanted a Carbon Fiber hood. When I found that they don't make them anymore, I gave him the go ahead to do the louvers. It should be interesting to see how it turns out.

in my personal opinion (like anyone gives a damn) its not worth it to get a hoodscoop.

I was at the local drag strips here in california when I notcied a maxima with a molded hood scoop....in the middle of the hood...how is that of any use? it isnt.

I asked him why he had it done, he said "its looks cool" he isnt on the org.....and needless to say his max is stock.

I can see the hood scoop being of SMALL use if you mold it ontop of a JWT....but what about dirt and rain? would you trust your hood scoop in the rain? i know i wouldnt.

either way, good luck and dont go to any automatic car washes.

now if you put a lil intercooler underneath it, it would be nice and useful. I mean there are functional hoodscoops out there that dont seem to have any problems.

Thanks for the compliments... I figured everyone on the org had seen the car dozens of times by now. heehee...

And no Jeff you can't see a pic, stop IM'ing me about it...

Seriously, the new hood is being finished, still not even on the car yet.

If it were an air to liquid you may be right, but it is not, hence the custom hoodscoop...

BlackV1...I honestly have no idea what car the Intercooler is derived from, I bought the Supercharger kit with that intercooler setup, I have just modified it a little, obviously it was bought used, not from Stillen that way.
