NEED SERIOUS HELP FROM ANYONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT A/C'S (kinda long)

When i got into an accident a while back my shop didnt fill my A/C with freeon againg. so this sat I was refilling it up and i put two cans in. I tried it to see if it worked and sure enough i got ice cold air, but every little while the air would come out at regular atmoshphere temp. i really didnt pay no attention to it. The next day when i turned the a/c on i could hear a weird raspy noise. So i go and open the hood and found out it only came on when the a/c got turned on (didnt make it if air was on with out the a/c button) so i knew it was something w the a/c. after about one minute i had the a/c running it started making a very loud hissing noise and then a bunch of what i think was smoke started coming out and the noise turned to a noise (if any one of you guys ever heard an electric shock) thats what it sounded like. So my reflex was to shut the hood cuz i had my face sticking in the engine bay, and rushed to turn the a/c off. I tried it one more time and did the same. Im taking my car back to the shop probably tomorow or wed. but i dont want to go accusing them of stuff with out knowing what happened. So my question is what happened? do u guys think my a/c is totally ****ed up or is it something that can be fixed without being too costly? someone told me it sounded like it didnt have enought oil in the a/c system because i only put a little bit in since my a/c was almost full. Thanks you guys i did a search on a/c's but nothing came up similar to my prob. I was thinking of just putting more of the a/c oil in there but last time i checked my a/c was full and if you over fill it it could burn the motor.

Moisture

You were in an accident. Was your A/C condensor damaged and replaced? It your A/C system was open while the shop was working on your car you need to also replace your receiver/dryer. Then you need to evacuate the air from the system and then recharge.

Moisture and refrigerent does not mix! Have an A/C specialist service your system. You probably need a new dryer. Hopefully you didn't damage your compressor.

when recharging AC, you need to pull a vacuum to get the air out of the system, take it to an AC specialty shop and they will charge it, if there is another prob, they will apply the money you put for the recharge towards fixing it. i have been through a lot with AC and none of it worked and i spent a lot of money, just take it to the shop and be done with it.

Ok first how much is a new or used compressor? Second do u think that it was because of the air so nothing on the oil right? Does any one know a place in phx,AZ that would be a good place to take it?
