Yes... any colored headlights are illegal. It must be of "yellow cast". It's a range of color temp that DOT regulators have set. And green is no where near this range.

These statutes (§s) are found in the portion fo the state code(s) relating to motor vehicle equipment and are usually appurtenant to "rules of the road". Therefore, the green lanterns must go...

I drove around for 2 years with green head lights and cops did nothing about it till one fried my harness and went out. The cop pulled me over for the broken light, he them made me shine them against a wall and told me they were blue and that is considered impersonating a police vehicle.
Of course I agreed and promised to change them to avoid a ticket.

that's just the standard rewire trick that everybody does. The camera angle makes it look a little brighter possibly..

Well Hey! Put a fellow "Maxian" On. Point me to the thread or site, or wherever that trick is. I think it could work wonders for my APC Hyper white side markers.....they look green with the dim light coming out of there now.....

Is it just me or is green the WORST possible colr you can have on a headlight?

What I mean is, if you are driving at night and have green bulbs producing greenish light, it is kind of dangerous b/c: trees, grass, many objects on the road/streets are guess what GREEN.

Nobody was man enough to put on pink bulbs, j/k.

True it won't light up the grass too well... but mine are over wattage and hit things like cars, people, and the other stuff that matters very well.. plus, my rewired corners + fog lights help greatly
