wrecked my car...need advice!!!

Last night i bent up the max BAD. i wanna keep it off of my insurance, but i don't know how to come up with the cash to fix it. the lowest estimate is like 4000 dollars, the highes it like 6. my insurance is already like 300 a month and i don't need it any higher. which is the best option, try to get a loan and pay it off or claim it on my insurance and let it go up or be cancelled? sorry to unload, but i wrecked my car looking for kids running through a parking lot, and i don't know what to do. sorry for the sob story, but i need some mad advice here.

Well that would depend on your situation. How much you make, if you have an expensive drug habit, etc.... Priorites and such. Things we don't know.

If my driving record and insurance were as bad as yours however, I'd be leaning more towards the loan. Of course that depends on your credit. Let me guess.... not good? So figure a $5,000 unsecured loan at 12% over 3 years. Ouch. Too much for a car.

Make the claim, get the check, fix the car. Then get a new Social Security number...

Do you own the car outright or do you have payments? Not worth getting an additional loan to add more to the payments.
I'd get the car fixed on the insurance and then buy a cheaper one.

What parts?

1) Junkyards - fast, cheap

2) OEM - slow, expensive

3) Stolen - fast, free, but federal prison sucks

I don't know that there are many in any junkyards around here. i have done some looking, but am still doing yet more. I just don't know where to look around here. SHould i Just let the body man order the parts, or should i continue trying to find and order them myself to try to save the money to cover the deductible?

have insurance fix it...sell the car, and buy a beater until you can afford insurance again on a real car again.

Is it driveable? If so just drive it messed up until you have the money so you can avoid the claim.

Um, I'm guessing if the lowest estimate he's recieved has been 4000 dollars, that it is NOT driveable.

amber alert is what they send out when another kid comes up missing. they broadcast it on the tv & radio.
my advice comes in four crucial steps:
1)save your money
2)fix your car
3)leave the kids ALONE
4)pay attention from now on while driving your car

sorry to bother you guys again, but i do apologize if i have bothered anyone with this thread. I admit that i was not paying enough attention, but please let me deal with that. I have enough going on with this right now and ridicule does not help. I would rather total my car anyday than run over someone's child. anyway, I appreciate the help.
