Here's an IDEA for side scoops or side vents on the 4th gen

This is something i'm cosidering since my doors have dents and need body work. I am currently helping my friend with his 90 Civic DX hatchback. He's putting some MR2 side vents that we bought on eBay for $95/pair shipped. Before cutting anything, we looked at his car and mine and say that the side vents fit great on his car and on the 4th gen door as well. We installed one vent so far (it got dark really fast). Below are some links to the pics of his vents and my 4th Gen dented door. Both pics are proportionally correct taken at the same distance and heignt away from the cars. Take a look and post what you think about it.

KEEP IN MIND: This is a custom job...lots of cutting, fiberglass, bondo, etc.. My friend requested that I reveal nothing about any costs or specific materials for business reasons, but i will try to answer any other questions.

In my opinion, that pretty much sums it up. Of course if you had winshield washer LEDs, altezzas and a triple-decker wing then it might look okay.
