light clearcoat scratches; cleaner/polish or wax

I'm not talking swirls...probably rubbed some dirt into the clear...It's not deep, but noticeable in the sun....
I have a cleaner polish and wax from mequires...

Use 3m Rubbing Compound to take it out. The Mequires polish will just hide it until your next wash. After you compound it out then polish and wax it. Before you do that though you might want to do the fingernail test. Rub your thumbnail over the scratches. If it gets stuck in a scratch, the scratch won't come out.

Use the polish first, let it dry & then use a little wax to get the shine back.
