need help with oil pressure sending unit
I'm going to move this post here too. I deleted the thread in the 4th gen forum already, so no need to worry mods.
Moving it here so maybe more people can see and hopefully find a solution for me. Thanks to the two people who tried to help when I posted in the 4th gen forum though. This is really important because if I can find a solution, the whole install would be a waste. Just can't complete it without this crucial step.
need help...question about oil pressure sending unit
I took out the factory oil pressure sending unit. When I tried to put on a "T" fitting assembly, it wouldn't go in. The male thread wouldn't go into the engine block. I took a look at it and it looked a bit stripped inside. When I put back the oil pressure sending unit in, it fitted though. I even bought extra 1/8 NPT male fittings, they didn't fit either. The male thread on the oil pressure sending unit look to be a 1/8 male NPT too. So, why would it fit and the others wouldn't? Now what do I do?

Is it still 1/8" BSPT? I was looking into oil gages as well as the tranny and coolant temps and voltmeter it's going to get. It makes sense that it's Brittish Standard Pipe 'cuz it's basically metric pipe thread. Good tip dude. Thanks!

1/8 BSPT though right? And where can I get an adapter? I don't think Autozone or PepBoys carry it. Thanks.

Son of a....
I just bought the NPT to BSPT adapter from autometer (part #2269) and it didn't work. It wouldn't fit into the block. I thought this was the cure for this problem, but I guess not. Is the thread on the 95-96 different from the 97-99? I have a 96, and I'm wondering if the thread is different. Help me out here guys, I'm starting to get really ****ed off.

1/8" BSPT on my 1999. I believe it's different for other 4th gens.

Call Stillen and see if you can buy the T fitting off their supercharger kit. If someone knows the part #, it would be easier for you to order.

Re: Re: Son of a....
I did that before when assembling my SC, and not only did they make me buy extra crap amounting to $50+ in order to ship it (they told me minimum order was $50. The oil T fitting is something like $15), but when I recieved it, it was cross-threaded and assembled wrong.
Not only is it the first and last time I'll ever order from stillen, but it'd be cheaper elsewhere
