Moved my front plate (big pics)

While installing my clear corners my front plate was sitting there high up on my bumper, nagging, begging for me to move it somewhere. I didn't want to just 'flip' it, as some people have done, so I tried sticking it in the lower air-dam (97 front) and it fit perfectly! A couple wire ties and some black duct tape, and it's on there pretty good.

I'm assuming it isn't a problem blocking air to the radiator down there, right?

Is that legal? Its not exactly easy to see. It might be worth finding out so you don't get a ticket.

I'll bet it's ok... here is what it looks like with the plate on:

it's flat, and still on the front of the car, I bet police don't memorize mount points for all the cars on the road.

Me no likey. Why show off the middle of the bumper more than the air damn? I think that looks way out of place. Screws up the lines in the front. To each his own, just my .02
If you like it, keep it!

I can't speak for your state, but in Washington, the front plate must be mounted 1) at the front of the car, 2) horizontally, 3) not less than 1 foot fron the ground, 4) not more than 4 feet from the ground, and 5) in an unobstructed area.

So as long as your plate is not much less than a foot above the ground, you are probably pretty safe.
