I was just reading in the Group Buy section that greg will ge out with custom gauge bezels soon...About time. If you guys are looking for one of my favorite cosmetic modifications I have done, check out my painted gauge bezel and surround. Took me an hour worth of work and $7.00 in spray paint...Here's some pics

what brand/ color paint did you use?

 

Plasti-Kote Import Paint

Nissan color: 5432 (not exactly sure what color it is )

and a can of clearcoat...

$3.49 a bottle from the local Pep Boys

It is amazing how close it is to the actual surrounds for the temperature/radio...just a little more metallic

 

Hey MaxDoggie, LOoks GREAT!! The black already suits my black interior so i dont gotta piant nada!!
I had one question. I want to get the indligo gauges. Do i have to replace all the parts with indiglo , for example I ONLY want the fuel, speed, tach, and temp INDIGLO(the 4 circles).

You should be able to just replace the fuel, speed, tach and temp gauges...I didn't screw around with that, but the way the plugs are set up, I don't see it being a problem

BLack2k2MaX = if you look on eBay, there is a seller that is advertising the indiglos for 2K's-2K2's...I believe the seller is carparts.com...if you look, the gauges they are selling are actually for the 2K2's...the tach has the square cut out for the 2K2's computer, which the 2K's don't have

MaximaZero = I just used the Plasti-Kote clearcoat that they had there...same price as the spray paint

but where did you find the indiglo for your car? i was not aware that they already made them...

 

ive seen them on ebay.

i personally didnt like them before since all the guages are white. it contrasted too much with the black bezel. it looks a lot nicer with the lighter colored bezel.

 

Yeah, I got them off eBay...I don't see any problem with having only the fuel, temp tach and speedo in the indiglo...The lighter colored bezel does improve the look of the gauges...I have gotten nothing but compliments on it around here.

 

that looks really nice....matches well with the interior!!

 

procarparts.com has the guages for the 4th gen...but I haven't seen any for the 5th gen on ebay

but those are just white face gauges correct??? not the reverse indiglo....im confused!!

Maxdoggie has an 00-01 Maxima. The gauges in that EBay auction link above are for a 2002 Maxima I believe.

 

in his sig he's say's he has a 2k2?

 

Yeah, those ones are just regular indiglos, not reverse indiglos for the 2002's...I do drive a 2000 and I have headlights and taillights from the 2002

 

ahh icic.. man.. i'm lost these day's.. but when u got the new indiglos.. did them come with the face overs for the other areas to?? like the top mid bottom left and right cornners?

 

Yeah, the top, bottom, left and right corners did come with my indiglos, that one I linked th that is for sale on eBay is a different set than what I got
