Wheel alignment on a lowered max
Wheel alignment on a lowered max
I called a few places that do wheel alignments and they said that they only do them to factory spec... im figuring that factory spec will not be right since i put eibachs on my 2002.
The car felt like it was driving fine but after a few weeks i saw that the passenger side front tire was worn down on the inside... my steering wheel looks like its a tiny bit to the right when i let it sit.. could it be that when i lowered it i knocked it off center a little bit when trying to get the shock/spring out? Does anyone know if the factory spec will be fine? thanks in advance

when they align the car they will set it to spec on how low the car is. They wouldnt set it as if the car was still at stock height, that would defeat the purpose.
dont worry to much about it Joe, most shops by us know what they are doing.

after you lowered your max, you get your car aligned back to factory specs or close, to maintain good tire wear and good turn in and the such...maybe a little more negative camber but i would say factory specs is what you are looking for...

The Toe-In has to be set to factory specs. I believe it's around 1mm. Camber should remain within specs. If it's a bit on the negative side, which happens when you lower cars, you'll just carve turns better!
well ive been posting about finding a place thatll take my car on.
everyone pretty much says IMM NOT TOUCHIN IT , or IT WONT FIT ON THE RACK
so what to do? my wheels is a little off and its pulling to the right

That sux.. I dont see what the big deal is if youre not too low. They hear lowered and they think youre an inch off the ground. As long as they can get your car on the machine it shouldnt be a problem

I can't believe they won't work on your car. My front bumper sits under 5" off the ground, and Sears, Firestone, and the dealer have worked on my car numerous times since then. They never complained once.
