to me that price is still ridiculous. they call stillen "stealin" for a reason. if it costs them maybe 800 tops for everything to make a sc, then the price should be 1600-2000.

I'm not defending Stillen, but the SC kit costs them a lot more than $800 to make. The blower alone is like $1500+ and yes, Stillen will get a discount for buying them in bulk, but not all that much. Compare the Maxima SC price to other kits using Vortech blowers and it's not that bad.

is the blower 1500 to make, or 1500 for them to buy? i don't know. i was just throwing out a number and saying that they mark their prices up just a lil bit. i guess i should have done a little more research before i said that, huh?

haha, thanx for pointing that out, i can't think of a time where someone truely defended stillen... But none the less, you make an excellent and legit point about pricing...let alone all the time it took stillen to test the fiting etc...

Its like why are Ferraris so damn expensive? They have to test crash them and developement teams and time = money.. and thats why they get up so high...

That's a pretty good price considering it's brand new.

If you don't want to pay that price, the only other way to go is used. However, you will have to wait until someone sell his/her SC. Then, you better be fast to grab it.

I called Vortex directly and they asked 1800$ just for the V2 Blower.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

I am reading your post here on Friday night so I do not have my price sheets with me, but i will to a cost plus pricing for you. The Stillen bar deal is going great, and I enjoy working with you all, so I will look for you Monday and see what kind of discount I get on the SC from Stillen.

I will do the best I can for you.

We can make a kit, I already found a guy who can make me custom 3" tubing for the SC, what I would need is a pic of a complete stillen V2 Kit so we can figure out which part we can custom build and the one we have to buy buy, having a schematic of the parts would be unimaginable cuz then it would be quite easy to built a custom copy kit from stillen, if someone find me this, I'm willing to be the guinea pig, ya I know I'm a dreamer...

Cheers

That's all we ask but many have tried without any results. Good luck! If you could get a GD for the V2 SC, that would be awesome!! Thanks!

$3200 plus shippig will be the cheapest price you will get a stillen supercharger!!!brand new!!
that is not alot look at what Honda civics and mustangs pay!!!

Mustangs pay $3400

civics pay $3999.99
You guys see these other guys selling them for less then 3K, why dont you guys grab those, most of them come with a Blitz BOV which is $200, bringing the total price of the SC over $3500.00, used kits are the complete kits! sometimes you may get a incomplete kit that may be missing some parts! something to think about. Also whom ever comes up with the mounting plate and oil return plate ensure that the mouting plate is perfectly straight up and down so when you bolt the blower you dont start dropping belts like is cool!!Just trying to help you guys out. One more thing dont forget you will need fuel management unit with a fuel adjuster to adjust fuel pressure!!

Actually, SummitRacing has a Powerdyne SC kit for a Mustang 5.0L for about $2500. That's simple economics though, higher volume of sales means a lower pricepoint.

$3300-$3500 for a SC kit for a Max isn't too bad as long as it's reliable and has similar gains.
