everyone who has AE auto shifter happy with it?

i'm planning on ordering one next week and i just wanted to know from people who have the AE auto shifter if they are happy with the build quality of it. i seem to have read some negative posts about the manual shifter, so i just want to make sure before i order. if not, i'll look for an aftermarket like levoc.

thanks.

pretty happy with it. although, the botttom stands a half inch taller than the regular shifter, it's pretty good otherwise.

i love the look of mine but beware if youre aggressive and wear a ring. ive killed the finish on mine by shifting my auto with the ring on. just watch out for that and it will look nice for a while.

do i need to take out the entire center console to install? or is it pretty much a bolt on type of change?

Look at the "Installation Instructions/How To" thread at the top of this forum. Instructions and pictures on page2. More than just bolt on. Do some reading BEFORE starting this project.

i seems to be peeling on top. Looks good but may not be the best quality. I'm going to try and have it replaced under warranty

just thought of something... the instructions in the 'how-to' says that you can't go back to the original shifter after the 'alterations' have been made... would that mean from the AE shifter or ANY aftermarket shifter?

So many AE Wanna-Be's.... get the real thing, I did! Although.... next year it is going by-by, and is being traded in on a Mercedes-Benz SLK320 Roadster convertible.... sorry Max, but ya gotsta go. Too bad the depreciation is so drastic, gotta save up EXTRA just for the loss of value due to depreciation!
