This guy has 3400+ positive feedbacks on ebay. I bought my Stillen Intake from him, got it in a week, not a problem at all. What are you guys' stories dealing with this guy, I would like to know, coz I "was" planning on getting the mid-pipe from this guy as well.

Appreciate it!

dropshadow, how's the mid-pipe treating you? I've heard that the hose that came with it is a bit short, any problem with that?

Well, you guys just keep saying this guy is bad, but so far no body has presented their own stories as to "why" this guy is bad. Like dropshadow and I, we both had good experience from this guy thru ebay.

my buddy bought a set of rims from this guy "brand new in box" on ebay... when he got them two of them were scuffed to hell... had previously been mounted is the only guess we could come up with...

wouldn't deal with him again... some good deals.. but maybe too good to be true

Question:
I have heard other Max owners saying that the 1ft long 8mm hose is naturally not long enough. Would you be able to include longer 8mm hose in the package? Let me know, I'm about to place a phone order.

Me too - '95 Maxima SE, 5-speed - 3 nipples.

Maybe the Automatic has 4, not the 5-speed?

-or, could it be for that run of 4th Gen. model years (sorry, forgot which) that have the additional airflow temperature sensor?

Please clarify this - Thanks!

The Hosing Situation is being remedied, we are now enclosing 3 feet of hosing for the Maxima.Org Customers. As for the nipples, there are some that come with 4, and its some of the 95-99 Models. Otherwise we would not have made 4 nipples.

They sell the whole setup on ebay for $109, so it'll probably lower than that. Installation is very very easy, should be a DIY job. If you still doubt your skills, I would post in the regional forums, there are plenty of org members in NY that would most likely and gladly install it for you for free. And there are How-To instruction of the intake on the org and http://www.maximadriver.com

What this guy is selling is a hybrid intake, very very simple to install...........do a search for Midpipe Hybrid Intake, and you will find oodles and oodles of info.........the sound is alright wihout a POP and gives a little bit better performance, you will notice it more after you buy a Y.

Cool yeah.

I emailed the guy selling these pipes but he hasnt replied yet.

Right now my pop charger with the K&N from a Akimoto intake for a civic growls like a stock mustang GT under slightly flooring it and when I floor it all the way it sounds kinda bad like a pontiac Grand damn under WOT.(which sounds nasty)

Thanks

I just put a vacuum cap over the extra tube on my 98 5-speed --

full image

Maybe some Maxes need the extra nipple

There have been some complaints about other products this guy sells but as far as I know everyone who has bought the intake kit has been satisfied, I was. The 3/4 black house will save you a trip to the auto parts store that I had to make. I think 5/8 ID house may fit better on one of the connections, but the 3/4 should work fine.

dohccivicna1250 - You now have a 3"X3" coupling for the MAF? How much just for the blue coupling (shipped)? I bought the complete kit before and got two 2.5"X3" couplings. The only thing I was not happy about is the way the coupling had to be stretched out to fit over the tube on the end that connects to the MAF.

I have 3 nipples, but the hose to the crankcase and IAC(i think is what it is called) are both the same size, 3/4" ID, and the tiny tube goes to the EGR

The front hose connection (breather?) is a little smaller (At least on my car), I used 5/8 heater hose and it fit pretty good. The 3/4 felt a little loose but if you tighten a hose clamp on it, it should work fine too, the nipples on the Midpipe are both the same size so I had to push the 5/8 hose on with a little force. I am just paranoid about air leaks after the MAF.

Do not try to put a house on the front connection, that is sure to cause a problem.

His feedback is high because that seller name has been used by other seller previously.

I bought a FSTB from him, which arrived damaged. He ignored my emails. I use AOL, as does he, and when I checked the status of emails I sent him, he would read them, but not reply. Then later on he just deleted them before even reading them. It has been several months and he never gave me positive feedback, even though I paid him the same day the auction ended. All in all, a shady seller. He may do alot of business on EBay, but if you run into any complications with him, he will totally blow you off.

Just a warning to you guys...so buy from him at your own risk...do a search, and you'll find many more people who've had problems with this seller.

I have no experience either way with this guy, and I have read stories that go both ways, but accounts like this, with specific examples and explainations, make more sense than when people just say things like "don't buy from him" or "he is a ripoff." I appreciate Triple8Sol at least giving an example, whether his is an isolated incident or the norm.

To problem with bar

Dear sir, we sell these bars for so cheap, even to send you a replacement would not cost more than 40.00. We would not disgrace our name for 40.00, and not even for 200 if we can fix it. I ask you to send the bar back for a free replacement plus regular shipping. I would not delete emails to get away from a damage claim, 2 weeks ago we had another problem with ups damaging a bar, we sent that person a new bar 2nd day air, and he even just got a new one. If you are who i am talking about, please tell them, i cant release your name. We are honest, and we try our best, thats all we can do, and the GD is still on, we got 65 pipe kits left.
