Opinions wanted on exhaust tips......

Just looking for opinions on exhaust tips.

What do you guys/gals like, dis-like?

I just put a new OEM muff on my '95 and the 2" metal pipe sticking out the rear looks nasty.

I'm running a Stillen y-pipe, b-pipe, RT cat and no resonator. I replaced the Stillen muff because it was too loud for my taste.

Pics or links to pics would be appreciated.

Thanks............

I have a generic 3.5" bolt-on on my Max. That's right I said bolt-on. But I don't care what anyone says, you cannot see my bolts and I think the tip looks fine. 3.5" is not too big but still stands out. Anyways mine is a rolled tip with a slant cut and $24 I think from Advanced Autoparts. Made by 3A Racing. Honesly I wouldn't have bought it though had I not bent up my OEM finisher. That one looks best. And I was going to get a catback when I bought it (this was just temporary), but it has grown on me and the funds for the catback went elsewhere.

I think that's a pretty hot tip.

i had a REALLY cheap looking one from 3a but then i returned it. i will NEVER buy anything like that from pepboys again!! i felt SO bad that i actually apologized to max

i swore id never buy a tip, but now that i realize our stock mufflers are so good , if i return to it, i will jus throw a tip on it. as long as you have exhaust work done i think its ok

Good call Vyrus. Just picked up and installed the 3A. And I like it! I got the slant cut, rolled edges, all SS resonator.

I would have thought for the price I paid for the OEM muff they would have included the OEM finisher. Silly me.

Thanks for the tip (pun intended).

Maybe 3A has different versions from cheasy to pretty decent. Other than it being a bolt on, the one I picked up looks like it is constructed well and looks good on the Max.

Yep I think it's a great looking way to finish the rear of your car. You will notice it collects soot quickly, but any tip will do that. I think you got the same one as me 3.5" slant-cut, rolled-edge, all SS, triple-chrome plated. Good stuff.

Yes, I want dual tips. I plan on keeping my stock muffler so I would love to cut off the stock and weld on dual tips. I have not seen one yet, and it may be hard to find one with the small diameter outlet.
