In case you haven't heard, some a$$hole kid rear ended me about 2 weeks ago when I was just sitting at a red light. No rain, no snow (at the time), and no one in front of me. He wasn't paying attention, driving his 2000 (maybe a 2001?) Silver Mustang GT that his parents bought for him (<--I'll bet on it!) But anyways, he hit the right rear corner or my car HARD. I mean really HARD! The back half of my car was GONE.

It was towed away to my "favorite" body shop and after they got a look at it, it was going to be $3700 to fix it (frame damage). Here's the deal: They would make me a deal and give me $4000 and let me take some of the "large" mods off as long as I had the parts (the OEM ones) to put back on the car. I did just that. Wheels, UR Pulley, Stereo, NGK Wires, etc. So I took the mods and the $4000 and they titled the car as totaled (salvage title). do you have any pics of the car after the accident? and look at it this way you get to go car shopping. i can't wait to buy my new car hopfuully a 93 or 94 300zx twin turbo. i figure i can prolly get $2500-$3000 for my car. and i'm getting alot of money this x-mas. i didn't ask my parents for anything so they're prolly going to give me money. and my other reletives are going to do the same. swear to god last time i did that i got like $2000. $5000 should be enough for a down payment.

 

man sorry to hear, and by a rustang nonetheless!! ouch!! Good luck on finding another car. What are you going to look for? another 3rd gen? If not, you gonna sell the aftermarket parts?

I really feel your pain. You did a lot of work on your car only for it to get rear ended by a Mustang. That has to hurt like hell.
