I just had the alternator replaced and now the air-bag light is flashing. How do I reset that? I know how to reset the check engine light. Is the air-bag light done in a similar fashion?

the pressing the door light switch button trick will throw you into air bag diagnostic mode but for me it didnt reset it.

 

Well the day before my 98 max was totaled i got the air bag fixed, it was something to do with the door switch thing. take it back to the place u had the work done and tell them to fix it cuz they probably did soemthing or forgot to reconnect something.

 

Thanks for the tip PsycoJon. I took it back this morning to have them straighten something else that they had to finish. Right before I left for the shop I tried the technique that SuDZ forwarded in the message above. It worked. So I'm not sure what the problem was. But it is good to not have that light flashing and annoying me. Checkin in with members of this site has helped save me some money a time or two. Thanks again.
