i think i have a busted motor mount. when i was on the dyno ethan thought my motor moved a lot more then his AND i even said to someone before that that i hthink i have a broken mount. i get some clunking and chatter from what sounds liek the engine/exhaust area when i take off even semi hard and the car just doesn't feel the same. hwo can i tell for srue and then if that's what it is i want to do the EricDwong mounts. how hard do you really think that is to do?

 

wait till you get to my stage where it starts squeeking and your suspension sounds like its blown.. you get lots of chassi flex and your car handles like ****

Hey Steve,

I got the same problem as you, even on semi hard launches, it feels like the car is clunking and engine movement is large..

Try reving your engine, my car is starting to lurch and jerk with engine movement.

As a result of this, i believe i also have a broken mount. You can feel it during shifts and hard acceleartion.. The car doesnt feel the same any more..

I have a sevice appointment on the 23rd of September,so i will keep you posted, mr. Frankencar!!

i definetly thought at one point my suspension was messed up, but it's not. it's gotta be a motor mount. time to talk to eric D Wong.

 

squeaking on bumps and when going over lane markers right? think mine are out also.

but mine are so intense .. it squeeks when i put the car in gear and when i start to move off.. it squeeks all the time

 

what about excessive clutch chatter?

oh .. hmm.. i was still breaking in my clutch when the mounts started to go.. so i can't even really tell if its not normal.. but i guess it is.. i am ordering PR next week

 

i think i'm gonna start a frankencar motor mount swap. i hear the pr's are really harsh but the stock ones can't handle me. so i'll get 4 ones from a junked 2k2 or something. fill them with that poly stuff eric wong used then do it to my stock ones and sell them with a core charge.
