Well if you did not see my other post in the general board I am putting down 178.2 HP and 178 TQ

I am just trying to see if that is the most out of a NA AUTO 4th gen.

From what I can remember it is. And in the dyno forum it is.

I am not looking for a prize OR a cookie..so keep it. I am trying to find out some info

BTW

Yeah... I had to do a double take when I realized you were AUTO. Those are excellent numbers! Congrats!

Congrats, the NA-Auto-1997-white-SE-smyrna/north atlanta-tan interior-over 100,000 mile-driven by a skinny white guy-dyno'd by a fat white guy-horsepower record!

That's a distinction to proud of!

If I remember correctly, BSwithTF (Travis) dynoed his 95 GXE auto to 178fwhp and 180fwtq with a y-pipe, intake, JWT ECU, UDP, catback, and on heavy 17" Enkei RS6s. He has the VI now, but hasn't dynoed yet. His best ET/MPH is a 15.0@91mph. That's without the VI.

I don't have that much power yet.

I'm at 170.6 fwhp and 185.3 tq. I've got less horsepower, but more torque.

96sleeper has yet to post, but I think he's your best comp bags, b/c he's got the mosts N/A mods, not that mods count, but they sure might help.

AS for me, I haven't dynoed my car yet, maybe I should, I got VI,Y, hybrid, and a test-pipe & cat-back, but I dont think they really help too much, so just maybe I'm a littel comp for ya.

I'm at 176.8 HP and 192 ft-lbs of torque on my 97 5-speed with the following mods:
POP Intake
UDP
Stillen 2-piece Y-pipe
Courtesy B-pipe
5th gen muffler
Hyperground wires
13" Gran Turismo Brembo brakes
17X8 (18lbs) SSR Integrals

I have my RT Cat all set to go on as soon as I get an air compressor with rachet. My future plan so far is to get the Injen intake, Apex'i filter, VI Intake Manifold, and Apex'i V-AFC. I hope to see 200 HP NA. As soon as I get the the Injen, filter, and VI, I'll have my car dyno'd as a baseline...have the V-AFC installed and dyno tuned. This should show the before and after tuning gains. I'm hoping the V-AFC will eliminate the need of the Harlan switch, since the V-AFC will control any RPM triggered device.

BTW, my dyno above was taken with 56K mile old plugs, 30K old fuel filter, and one O2 sensor giving me trouble.

You're well on your way Kevin. Good luck! I guess we all have our goals, just like Kevin wants 200wheel hp, as I want 14's.

I don't think I have the most mods...I might shortly though. My VI is sitting at home waiting on me for this weekend to install. Already got all my wiring done, so I think it will go well. I will probably come down to atlanta to dyno with bags sometime, since its the closest one to me I think. I won't make any predictions on numbers though, because his are pretty good.

Re: Hmm.. I might have the MOST HP for an NA AUTO 4th gen

As far as automagic's go those are stout hp numbers. IIRC Shing's old 4th gen minima put down like 170whp/180wtq with CAI, Ypipe, RT cat, borla exhaust. Also Don's car put down 172whp/192wtq in 2000 with CAI, Y pipe, exhaust, UDP, JWT ECU. Get some cams + headwork and 2800rpm stall convertor and to hunt for low-mid 14s .

I was going to try and scan the dyno chart last night but I had issues with my scanner. I'll see what I can figure out.
