LOOKS GREAT! Now do you want to come up from Georgia to New Jersey and paint my Maxima's taillights?

Looks like a little fireball, very cool 'custom' edition for all 2k2-2k3ers.

Yeah, what kind of paint should I use, and where should I get it from?

I used Testors

I used the Testor's Transparent Candy Apple Red that i got at wal-mart. It looks pretty good.

A word of advice: Take your time and do multiple coats. When i first started it seemed like it wasn't really turning red at all and i sprayed a lot (subsequently there is a just barely visible bit of drip, but you can't see it unless you're about 6 inches away), i'll post some pics whenever i finally get through with this roll of film. Also mine looked better the next day than they did a couple hours after i finished it, i guess the paint dried and settled more overnight. Overall i love the way it looks sooooo much better than before.

the last picture looks awsome

But the first 2 give off a slight pink color....even with that pink color it looks way better than the orange.

Was it just the camera or is it a little pink at some angles

Depending on the lighting it some times looks a little pink. For the most part it matches up very well. To a untrainerd eye it would look perfect all the time.

hey Emax I feel like i'm getting all the credit here. GUYS: EMAX95 IS THE ONE WHO FOUND OUT HOW TO DO THIS, I'M JUST COPYING HIM!!! To me, i think they do look kind of pinkish sometimes, but cuz I look really close. Just like emax said, to untrained eyes, it would look like its all red

Looks great. And BTW, anyone know if the MAXIMA emblem on the trunk for the 2K2-2K3 is interchangeable for the 2K-2K1? I like the look of the 2K2-2K3 better.

the 00/01 black SE tails are still the best, but the red/clear are way better than the stock red/orange/clear

Yeah it says in his cardomain sight that they're not real. BTW it's not hard to do at all, just give yourself a couple hours, and take your time.

Sorry for bring this back to life but..

I really want to do this and is there a write up anywhere? I hesitate to this by myself using my common sense because if I mess up, my parents are gonna kill me (their car, not mine). My dad said I am allowed to do it but I just want to take safe measures.

Also, if anyone knows how to clear the amber part and make it clear, tell me please! I think that's the best looking one, then comes red, then stock.

THANKS!!
