I always thought that the 2k2 and 2k3 was all the same except for the introduction of the TE. But today, I went to the dealership today to look at the 350z, and i was looking at some of the 2k3 maximas. They have new buttons, like the controls (all four windows, window lock, door lock). What's the point of this!? I am a perfectionist, and i get ****ed over little things like this....why do they have to put better looking buttons on the 2k3?!?

and i was at the dealership because the salesman phoned us and told us they had a 350z in stock for viewing. At first look, i was like.....it's not as nice as everyone thinks (and that was my first impression!!). My dad and I were thinking of the 350z as a replacement for the M3, but after today, we are thinking twice. The interior, if looked at closely is just as cheap as the altimas.....it might ride like a miracle.....but i feel like my family is lucky for having an m3, and i feel like hitting myself for thinking of trading such a beautiful car for a 350z...i don't want this to be a flaming thread, so please don't flame

 

Not trying to flame here, but you're comparing a $50,000 car to a $30,000 car. Were you really expecting the 350Z to be a better car than your M3?

 

Now if you want to compare your M3 to a Nissan...wait for the GTR R35.

 

I'm sure he probably has an older M3...which would be a little closer in price....at least a used one would be real close, if not cheaper.

Give the Z a few years to mellow. It's wicked now, cause it's new, but so was the last Z they put out.

Saw a bright red one on the road yesterday, looked tight! Also saw a NEW ACCORD on the road...looks a lot like a 7 series from behind. Weird looking car.

 

yeah, I went to go look at one and they acted like the had the most exclusive car EVER made. It was funny to see them falling all over themselves about the 350z. Telling me that 19,000 are sold of the 16,000 they planned to make this year.. blah blah blah.

I finally I said "I know, I had a slot.. the #2 one in this state but I gave it up after coming in to your sh!tty service department with my 2k maxima and pathfinder."

silence. "sir, we've won many awards and blah blah blah"

I just laughed and said "haha, yeah.... you dont have a Nissan do you?"

silence.

Finally I said "By the time you guys stop giggling like school girls about the 350z, I'll already have a G35 Coupe. - the Z with build quality and service"

Then the funny thing is I usually end the conversation there but they begged me to come back and try the service and wanted to call me about the next one that came in and such. That was odd, I usually get the cold shoulder when I tell them what I really think. Me thinks they are a bit more hungry than they let on..

 

yeah, i have the older m3, and since those two are almost the same in straight performance, we were thinking about gettin 350z because we have no wawrranty on the M. But no warranty = heavy modding ... so now, we might start modding it..
