PIAA superplasma H4 and DRL?
PIAA superplasma H4 and DRL?
Just got a pair of PIAA superplasma H4 bulbs. These bulbs are blue for low beam and superwhite for high beam. My car is a Canadian 2k.
Problem:
During daytime I'm running in DRL mode which means that the headlights are on in 1/2 high beam, hence they are on the superwhite filament...not the blue filament. I would like them to run on the blue filament during daytime.
Semi-Acceptable Solution:
Turning the headlights to the ON position uses the blue filament or low beam, however this has the nasty side effect of turning on all the sidemarkers and taillamps, and dimming the clock.
Solution Sought:
What I would like to do is rewire the DRL box (the one located beside the washer fluid filler nozzle) to output low beams in DRL mode instead of 1/2 high beams.
Help:
Does anyone have an idea how to do this? If someone has the DRL box wiring diagrams I could perhaps figure this one out.
Forgive me if someone has written about this before. I have used the search function but was unsuccessful on this one.
