i am sorry to ask but.....

i am sorry to ask this but, i was trying to install a after market headunit in my sister's 02 camry LE v6. I was just wondering, there was a security light on the facotry headunit like most cars do, is it still ok to unplug the hardness?? i am just wondering what will happen with the security system if i unplug the hardness since the security system is attached to the stock headunit. i really need ur advises.

thanks guys

The security light SHOULD be only for the radio itself. If so, when you disconnect it you will need the code to able able to make it work again. This information is not confirmed, but a pretty good guess.

Agreed. Why don't you call the local Toyota dealer ( ) or an install shop to be sure?
