  • Race him then tell us about it
  • If you don't know how to launch he will win easily
  • Maybe you should make your sig longer so you guarantee a win!

I have an '03 and I embarrassed a 4.4i X5 yesterday when pulling onto the expressway in Naperville. This guy spent the previous 5 miles on the way to the ramp passing everyone in his way. However!!!! He got passed big time when we hit the ramp...was fun. He was alone and I had 2 additional passengers as well...

Unless you are an awesome driver he would destroy you off the line light to light.

Well, we did not have the opportunity to race from a stop. He was in front of me the entire time until the ramp because of traffic.

7.2 seems a little underrated. I had one on order at one point before backing out, and during the 30 minute test drive it felt a bit quicker than that. the big winner about it though was being able to take 35mph turns at 75mph and not budge.. the body style looks rather mini-van'ish, but it's definitely a pimp ride..

the 4.6's are pretty crazy for an SAV.. the pricetag is even crazier.. I've seen only two so far, one on the lot, and one by my work.. woman toting her kids with the soccer stickers on back..

I raced a 3.0L sometime ago, the guy jump start plus he had a 1/2 car length ahead before the light turn green, I showed him who was the boss. A race with a 4.4 would be a differnet story though.

Cheers

i have both a 2k1 X5 4.4 and 2k2 SE. both auto. although, i can't run myself, i thihk it would be a very close race. the max may pull it out in 0-60 off the line, but the X5 would probably have the edge while cruising speed and top speed.

I raced one on the highway, at 100 plus he pulled from me. I have a 2k autotragic with franken. It was fast and it could handle very well.
