I understand what your saying but taking a car that runs mid 16's, if it is not a SVT, and droping 2 seconds off the 1/4 mile seems pretty good to me. Also we do not know anything about the contour... what shot is it? other mods?
Just trying to put some perspective on it
The maxima ran 14.12 and the contour ran 14.4, what do you guys expect them to run? To the guy who asked, that is THE quickest run to date in a 2002 Max, so no, it shouldn't have run faster.

I once had a contour and i know for a fact its very very hard to get those things to run in the 14's.... On mine i upgraded my tq convertor and new cams and custom CAI and only ran a 15.3 as my fastest... then added a nitrous kit (75shot) and got into the low 14's(14.198) was the fastest she ever ran...
