Rough Idle/ Stalling results
I had posted that my Maxima was idling very rough and kept stalling out at low rpms. I removed the intake and took the car in to the dealer. I have an extended warranty. Here is what they found wrong with the car:
-Customer states car shutting off, upper intake gasket broken, replaced
-Customer requests CV boot inspection , found r/s outer boot cracked, replaced.
-Customer states check engine light on, found code p0100 MAF Sensor circuit, replaced air flow meter.
-Thumping noise when shifting gears, found both front and rear lower mounts cracked, replaced.
All in all, they charged my extended warranty co $970 for parts and labor.
My first question is, did my intake cause the intake gasket failure? Second, isn't that a lot of things wrong for a car with only 54k miles? Also, the say my belts are cracked, $120 to replace.

When I first got the car, I was told that the previous person probably drove it like the batmobile because all four rotors were badly warped.
The MAF was fine when I dropped the car off at the dealer, maybe they screwed it up when changing the Intake Gasket. I'm wondering if the Stillen intake cause the intake gasket failure. I'm wondering if its ok to put the intake back on now.
