My calipers are now bliggity-bliggity-bliggity black
My calipers are now bliggity-bliggity-bliggity black
I got tired of having red calipers on my car and I woke up at 4AM on Sunday morning and painted them before it got too hot outside.
The red was a little too "sporty" for me. Also, they were impossible to keep clean.
I LOVE the way the black look......very understated.
Please refrain from telling me that I need rotors. The time for them will come eventually.

Sure. Shoot me an e-mail. I've got red and black paint already. It's a three hour job tops. You buy the pizza.

In all honesty, Pep Boys was all out of silver. Plus I figured black would be easier to keep clean.

The black will be tastefully noticeable....and look cleaner longer. How did you prep the red..and how many coats of black? After the black, did you use a clear coat?

No clear coat. Just the paint itself. I put on about two coats. Plus with black, I could actually spray without masking because it is much harder to notice overspray.

Simple Green and a nail brush took most of the gunk off of the red calipers.
