Just started noticing my Max shifting late from first gear. Not too bad 3500 RPM but it had never done this before - on casual acceleration. Seems to be cold related since it goes away after the car warms up. Is this a fluid problem or is there another problem? Seems to only happen on first gear - and in my opinion appears to shift into third too soon.

yeah

mine does that too when it's cold..
it will rev kinda high in first.. and it bangs into second..
the bang is due to the cold tranny fluid so it doesn't move as smoothly as when the car is warmed up..

well how many miles are on your car.. replacing tranny fluid is always a good thing...
