clear rear blinker bulb question...
i was never going to get these, but i've seen a couple of 2k max's w/ them and they both looked pretty cool. they had clear rear blinkers, but the bulbs i've seen have two prongs at the base of the bulb that are exactly on opposite sides. the 2k max as the prongs at about 10 and 2 (clock position). where can i get them in so cal? or what kind/size/model are the bulbs? tia.

uhoh..
hey kafene,
i wouldn't do that if i were you... they're clean and nice... but VERY illegal in Socal. i installed the Polarg Superwhite 1156s (or was that 1157s?) and they were really blinding to the people behind. would be cool... but i'm not sure if it's worth the ticket...
anyhow, if you want to risk it, get the single filament (1156) and saw off one of the prongs b/c otherwise it won't fit. i think the max's use 1156A's. for Polargs i think it's the M7's. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: uhoh..
i know they are illegal, but i didn't think it was going to be that big of a deal since i've seen SO many cars with them from bimmers and honda's. and if i take off one of the prongs, won't it make my blinker rate increase? i don't want it to blink really fast have give me that 'bulb' warning on my dash.

hey, i actually have a set of Polargs if you're interested, lemme know. one's still in the case and the other one has a prong shaved off of it. i just opened it this week. don't worry, they're fine. email me at axsu2@yahoo.com. I'll sell them to you for $13/set + shipping of course.
