installing chrome gauge rings
installing chrome gauge rings
hey guys this may sound stupid but before i tear the car apart i want to ask how do i put the chrome gauge rings in?? they already have some sticky goop on the back but i want everything to line up right.... any tips or ideas???

1) You don't need to remove the steering wheel (I had seen someone before say that you did),
2) The combination meter is secured by metal tabs, which can easily go flying out of sight when taking it out--don't do this work at night, AND keep a telescoping magnet tool around to get them out of crevaces they fall into, and
3) Be careful taking the clear plastic cover off--there are several tabs that are very snug and hard to release (if you're not careful, they'll snap and your cover will rattle/buzz after reassembly). Do it gently and slowly. You may also want to release the black plastic tabs too (helped me out).
The rings press right in place--easiest thing you can install.
Good luck. The results look phenomenal--should have come standard with SE's.
