u can check the codes. look around for a FAQ or a post on how to do it.
u basically turn a **** on the ECU and it flashes the lights at u..then u find out what code and what's broken.

Uh, does it stay on after a few seconds? When you start the car, it lights up all the lights to perform a light bulb check. If something doesn't light up, the bulb is burnt out.

are you talking about the lights on the dash, im not talking about the lights in the odometers, im talking about the information lights. i never noticed if it does a bulb check, maybe next time i should check. when i start the car, the engine check light always comes on for some reason, i think it stays on for a few seconds then it turns ok, but i dont really pay attention to it

Yes, the information... or "idiot" lights as many call them. They come on with the key in the "on" position, and will come on briefly as you start the car. Then they all go out after a few seconds. Almost all cars do this. Observe amd learn!
