I saw on a Magazine that stillen is having an offer this month, free brake pads when you buy rotors. Has any one else look into this?

Also, my roomates keep telling me that it's not worth taking the risk of doing my own brake job, (replace rotors and pad) because if something goes wrong, it can REALLY go wrong (he did his and ended up crashing the car
