Will a Apexi WS be short on an I30

I plan on ordering a Apexi WS cat-back and just realized that they stick in a little on the 97-99 Max's. I guess they were really designed for the 95-96. I always thought my I30 was a little longer in the butt than the Max and now I am worried that it will be way too short.
Do you think I'll run into problems?

If it was a little short could I have a shop weld an extension right before the muffler? Does anyone see a problem doing that?
