Don in Texas did. 14.2. I don't think he has that car anymore though. Some guy with a 2k2 has run a 14.3 in his auto.

 

Shame he just got rid of his car too. It was 14.3 with cone intake and catback only. The car had 1/2 tank of gas and full interior and trunk 'n stuff.

 

he had a crap load of tranny work though didn't he? 14.3 in a 4th gen auto with catback and intake only?? How was he a full second faster than all other 4th gen autos with similar mods?

 

Ben was talking about the 2k2 that ran 14.3 I believe, not Don. Don had far more work than just intake and exhaust.

Don did a 14.2 and a 12.2 because he never produced a timeslip, we all can do that. Just say its so. It becomes a little harder when you have to prove lit.

 

 

I thought don did have a timeslip for his 12.2, but it was just a little anomalous just like papasmurfs 14.0. About the 14.2 don ran NA I have no clue, that's just what I've always heard.

 

 

I was in papa smurfs car once and its a 5-speed. Hella fast. Lot of weight reduction.

As for autos, did Hogan or nc00max ever produce slips? Both of them are 5th gen autos.

 

I ran a 15.44 with my 3rd gen Auto NA. I have many more mods to go too.

 

14.55 @ 95 here 2k2 auto with intake and UDP

 

14.49 @ 95 with homemade intake on 2k2 auto

 

don posted a half *** video of a 12.6 run around 11x mph

dig for it.

i know his car has gone 12.2 because i was on the board when he posted the time slip and got flamed hard for it.

just like my 3rd gen 14.3 run

 

I am calling BS on this one. A 12.2 timeslip was never posted and does not exist. Thats why he got flamed.

Lets go on proven runs no BS, we all work hard and spend lots of money to go faster and do not need BS and times that do not exist. If you have run a best time for your car, would you lose the timeslip, I don't think so. I have every timeslip my car has produced from the 16's down to the 13's.

I do believe Don has run high 12's because I am in that vicinity myself with minimal mods but 12.2 no way thats BS.

Nobody throws away 12 sec timeslips, would you?

 

I threw away all my 11 second all motor timeslips. I only have the 13.999 left

we ARE the ones who blew the motors, blew the trannies, sprayed the nitrous, did the s/c with 12 psi.

WE ARE the ones who help you, and for you NOT to blow your motor,tranny or whatever else up.

so before you go spouting off what you "think" you know. i suggest you look farther back into the history of the people who got this site going. who pioneered the stuff. who wen't low 14's all motor. who went 13's on bottle and s/c

second guessing someones legitimacy is not the thing to do. i have had enough of people second guessing me, others on this board. it gets old really fast. you don't see anyone second guessing you now do you? no. so why should you second guess someone else.

you will also see who saw the run. who has the time slip, or the video of the run.

i personally have a video of him doing a 12.6 pass.

There is no timeslip and no video showing the 12.2 time which is what we are talking about. You can dig till you hit China. You won't find it because it doesn't exist.

If thats true it would have surfaced long ago. This has been in question for some time.
I also read an email he sent that said the reason the mph was so low compared to the time (ie 12.2 @ 108)was because he had the brakes on full going over the line because he heard a strange noise.
Check the other times on the 1/4 miles forum as compared to the mph and see this unexplained discrepency.
There are two guys on there running over 13 with a faster MPH it don't add up thats why people are calling BS.

 

I have been following this debate for months now, and I'm not trying to jump in the middle of this but....

If the video/timeslip does exist, why not just show it/post it? Wouldn't it resolve all the questions and quiet all the doubters? I'm just curious. Really.

 

I was gonna say that but figured it would go up in smoke. If there is this so called proof than why isn't it proven yet to make all the non believers back down. I myself don't care but there are very few in the 12's as far as i know only 2 and SR20DEN has his run on video and a timeslip, plus I was there.
