We got a slight dusting of snow here in NJ and I was debating taking my new Max out in the snow. There was only an inch, so I wasn't worried about the handling in the snow. I was more concerned with the salt on the roads eating my paint after I zainoed it about a month ago.

I took my 92 Corolla instead and am glad I did. The Corolla is a great car if you want something cheap that will last forever. It's great in the snow with the 5 speed. Drove about 2 miles on the hiway when it sounded like I was caught in a sandstorm. One of those salters was on the road and was flinging salt across 4 lanes. If that was my Max, I would have cried. Then on my way home I saw everyone's car covered with salt. I know eventually I will get sprayed by a salt truck and will get salt **** all over my Max, but I've only had it < 2 months and want to delay it as long as possible. It's great to have a bad weather car to keep a few thousand miles off and prolong the looks of my Max.

How do you guys keep your car salt-free during the winter? No wise *** answers from you guys in Cal and FLA

 

keep my car salt free... maybe when i graduate i'll have enuff money to buy a beater car and have a nice maxima.. but for now..
Wherever i go . the maxima goes.. rain, snow, sleet, hail
my max is cover with salt now.. .. sure i'm upset but
i didn't buy my car to keep it in a garage and baby it ..
i bought it to be able to beat the $hit out of it everyday drive it wherever i please and not worry it's gonna fall apart anytime soon..

of course thas me .. If i had a 01' maxima it might be a LITTLE different...
