Must I replace tranny fluid when replacing clutch?

I'm supposed to replace the tranny fluid in another 1k miles, but my clutch is wearing thin and will need to be replaced in 5-10k miles. Should I replace the fluid now, or wait until the clutch finally goes out?

What I'm really asking is if there is any connection between where the fluid is stored and the clutch, that would require me to replace the fluid again when the clutch is replaced? Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

Yeah, Redline is getting my money soon. That, in fact, is why I didn't want to replace it now (for $50) and then again in 10k miles. Maybe I'll just split the difference and replace both in 3k.

What is the other type of Redline fluid that some people use? I live in Colorado, but my car is covered 100% of the time and will not see extensive driving in winter (I walk to work). If I remember my previous searches, the MT-90 is best for me, but I remember something about the MTL fluid as well. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You will have to drain the tranny fluid to replace the clutch. You could always re-use it, but why would you want to?

You are right, if you don't drive it in the cold weather, then MT-90 is great. If you do winter driving, then MTL.

Hey sprint, you can use the Redline ATF in your powersteering....
