Headlights look dirty in the inside.

Is anybody elses headlight lense look like its getting darker, unclear, and foggy on the inside. Every time i wash my car now i keep trying to wash the headlight leneses but i think its in the inside. Do i need new headlights.

the right one in my car is dirty inside, looks foggy sometimes.

try using some Mothers Plastic Polish. I use this regularly on my headlights to keep them nice and shiny even on my corner lights, bumper lights and tails too!

you can take your headlights apart just as you do the tail lights, when clearing the red out

then you can clean them from the inside

yeah my left headlight looked foggy so i heated it in the oven pulled it apart washed it out with alcohol and it looks like new. it was so shiny i had to do my right one so it would match. i just done it like a couple of weeks ago and it wasnt so bad.

Do you have directions on how to take apart the head light without damaging anything?

you heat it up and pry it apart with a screw driver, but take your time.

i didnt have to use a screwdriver but you take the complete headlight assembly put in oven @ about 300 for like 8 min. then use some oven mits and it should just pull apart. after you clean it out put the two pieces back in the oven just long enough to let the glue heat back up then press them back together as hard as you can.im sure the time in the oven is different for different ovens so make sure you keep checking it.

I would post the link if i had it, and I would search myself if I would not get error messages, but there are posts about hoe to paint your headlights like AE headlights, and they have great directions for how to take the lenses off of your lights.
