taking off accessories for waxing

I waxed my car this weekend, I waxed all the small details..took off the plates and wind deflector. Prep work for the winter.

I didn't take off the mud flaps, there are a couple screws to take em off, but the wheels get in the way...a little lazy sometimes, I'm sure a short screwdriver would work.

Anyways, do you guys take these off when you wax.

I dont have any of those parts on the car. what works well with those hard to reach screws is one of those screwdrivers that are in a "L" shape.

I leave everything on. I use a "wax crack brush" to remove the wax in the cracks. I use a lot of products from auto magic. they have a short bristle detail brush part# SB-1012 that works great for $3.00. here is their website

here is a pic of the brush

sorry guys I am not sure how to edit posts!!!

you could also find a similar brush at a hardware store but just make sure the brush is really soft on the end otherwise it will scratch the paint.

its a small hassle, but the next time i wax my car i'm going to either tape up around my lights and windows... or take stuff like my lights out... i hate how after the wax dries it leaves white residue all over the black seals for the windows and lights. i'll let everyone know how it works.
