Can someone tell me why when steping on the gas my pedal sticks for a second...like something is holding it back from nomal acceleraion. Thank you for your assistance in this matter!!

 

Check the linkage by the throttle body to make sure it's not catching on anything.

Check the area around the pedal itself to make sure no wires have dropped and are in the way.

Check you throttle cable, it may also be worn out.

 

OMG!! Please before you go anywhere else, check your throttle body cables. do you have an aftermarket intake? if so, pull up the cables and make sure they don't get tangled with the silver holders on the intake. This happened to me on the highway and i got into a very scary accident. Not my most rescent but my first. Couldn't even stop and i just got my y-pipe, car kept accelerating and i held down all brakes and all, sh*t was scary dude, don't let this happen to you, serious problem if it keeps happening
