Problems with J&S safeguard

I dont know if anyone else has got theirs installed yet besides matt, but i hope so. I have had everything hooded up for 3 days and not been able to use mine. John @ J&S wont return my calls for some reason.. i'm hoping hes out of town or something. Anyway, I have ALL the swithes turned off (which is 10 degree max retard, individual cylinders, and NO nos retard). The sensitivity **** is turned all the way to minimum, the boost start **** is at 0, and the boost rate **** is at 0. From what i understand, with these settings it should not be retarding the engine at all. But when i get above 1600 rpm, the engine just bogs down. sounds like it is not getting fuel. I think what is happening is the box is retarding at 1600 rpm (this is the rpm it starts at IF needed) way too much. has anyone had this problem? matt - if you read this please call me your email addy doesnt work anymore. anyone else that may know what the problem is feel free to call.

Problem fixed

Well, I had good news from Bosco over the weekend. His symptoms sounded pretty weird, so I sent him a second unit last week. When he plugged it in, it still ran like crap, so I asked him to double check his wiring. He is now the proud owner of a Weather Pack extractor tool.

To those of you who haven't installed your units yet, study the drawings.

On the six pin connector, cylinder 1 goes to pin A, but cylinder 2 does NOT go to pin B.

He looked at the drawings again, and a light bulb went on.

Good job, RW.

Have all the units been shipped? Because I still have not received mine?

I shipped it tomorrow? Yeah, that's the ticket.

No, but seriously, I'm working on the last two systems, and hope to get them shipped tomorrow.
