1st and 2nd gear slip

I just bought a 00 Max and notice when I punch it there is a pause, then it seems to kick in. No problems at higher speeds. I know there has been some discussion on this, but would like some more info as to what to do and what to tell dealer. Has anyone had this problem corrected? If so, is it much smoother between 1st and 2nd gear? Thanks

Let it go would ya. I realize I posted a **** load of times. FUGGEDABOUDIT. I was new and had a deadline from insurance on the rental car. Only reason I talked **** was because you were rude. I posted so many times because I thought after my first post got to be like 3 pages back no one would respond anymore and I only had a few days. Anyway, I went with the 2000 Max because I got a better deal on it. Also, I knew the history and found out the 02 was a rental return. **** that. This car was a dealers aunt's vehicle and her husband passed away so she turned it in for a minivan. Thought it was a line of ****, but the dealer actually called her to get the extra set of keys. Got the car for 18k with a 7yr. 100,000 mile warranty with 15250 miles on it.
