90 GXE auto Fuel Gauge doesn't read full

The gas gauge doesn't read full even if I keep on pumping and gas started to overflow...it reads 7/8 only.

Can this be fixed?

i have a gauge cluster from my 94 maxima wirks perfectly fine with only 71,000 miles on it for 75.00
