My 2500 mile road trip is complete, Thanks JDawgX
I've completed my move to Seattle from Paris, TN. I left TN at 11am Thursday, got to JDawgX's house at 3:30 am in Denver. He was as Hospitipal a Host as the.Org has seen. Let me crash at his crib, his roommate chris (who drives the PHATTEST Grand Prix I've ever seen)showed me around, and later they both installed a Stillen y-pipe on my Max. I tested my gas mileage from when I left TN. and got around 26-28 mpg to Denver. After the y-pipe install I got about 30-32mpg, (given: different terrains and driving conditions)anyway, left Denver at 6pm and arrived in Seattle at 3pm Saturday. Probably would have got there sooner, but had a tranny scare in the foothills of OR. Turned out to be nothing.
My take on road conditions:
Tennessee: OK,
Illinois: much better than before,
Missouri:Sucked A-hole
Kansas: Good, except for the Toll!
Colorado: Decent
Wyoming: Good, and all downhill!
Utah: As bad as Missouri
Idaho: Very good
Oregon: Pretty Good
Washington: I-5 stinks!
Of course I was only on Interstate through most of these places, so my opinions are only that.
Of all the org members I've actually met in person, none of them have been sheisty or "unworthy". You hear of so many bad things that happen to people over the internet, that you don't pay attention to the good. JDawgX (Justin & Chris) were too cool, and helped me in my quest for the west when they didn't have to. Thanks guys. Long live the .ORG!
