Reverse Lights

Well now my reverse lights don't work. Is there a fuse, or some kind of switch on the tranny or something? I got a 5 Speed. Thanks.

I assume you have checked the bulbs on your lights....

I would first look at your fuses (because they are the easiest) just to check, although I doubt that is what the problem is.

I had a similar problem on my '85 SE (RIP). The reverse lights would only come on when the tranny was 1/2 way into reverse. so there must be some switch. I'm too tired to look at the shop manual right now. Got to get back to watching Ronin--great ****ing movie for any car enthusiast!!!!!!!

Good luck. Let me know what you find.

I had the same problem. Turned out to be the reverse light switch located on the tranny. You'll see it, it plugs into the tranny and has a cable running to it that connects to the top of the tranny. That should be your problem. Replace that and you should be good to go! Price was about $23 at Nissan.
