I got my but kicked today by a bone stock HX civic! Didn't want to cheat so I left it in 6th at 45 when we started. I can't believe I have been cheating all these years. Felt good.

 

WTH? When you stomp on the gas in an automatic, the tranny will downshift. The only difference in a 5spd is that you can downshift to whatever gear yourself. So if the auto can downshift, why not a 5spd? That guy is an idiot. I didn't bother to read pass the first page. If you lose, you lose, don't come up with lame excuses.

lol but it's true. After all, what is the aim of racing at all? Isnt it to prove one car is faster than the other or one driver is better than the other? If they took of at the same instant and accelerated, downshfting isn't a possibility unless the manual guy isnt ending his gears which is stupid in a race.

and also does this moron realize that when you floor it in an automatic that the tranny downshifts AUTOmatically?

Thats messed up. I had a 3spd neon for a week and a half.

i raced a Z06 and a SEL 500 benz, beat them both on franny lew, but that was in and out of traffic with manually shifting.

they couldnt get passed me

I thought that was kind of stupid when he said downshifting is cheating, that's why I had to find out what his reasoning is. Anyways, it pretty much was proved he didn't know what the hell he was talking about from the beginning. I figured that out and left it alone after that. No sense trying to explain it to him.
