Take your time. Don't rush anything and don't force anything. Go to the auto store and get some anti-seize so that nuts and bolts thread easily and that you get a ccurate torque readings. Enjoy the extra power up top. Read my post about my dyno of my VI today.

I read your post and that is SWEET! I can't wait. How long did it take you and where did you get your torque amounts from?

Get a new TB gasket, your old one will most likely get torn up during the removal of the old IM. And borrow a makeup mirror (compact mirror) from your girlfriend or mom or sister or neighbor so you can see the rear manifold bolts, you can do them by feel but it's easier if you can see them. Clean out your TB and lower intake manifold with some carb/throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush if they are gunked up. Keep your bolts organized in some fashion so you don't get them mixed up.

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

Took me about 2.5-3 hours but there were 2 of us working on the car. One doing the wiring and vacuum plumbing and the other taking the manifold off. I would suggest taking of the hood just because it is a lot easier on the back and not as much bending over. I also suggest like Hype does on the how-to to when you take a piece of the US manifold put it directly onto the VIM manifold. Good luck and enjoy the results at the end.

It takes about 4-7 weeks to get the VI in and the collateral accessories can most likely ship in 2-3 weeks of your order if you pay for it all up front. Otherwise will ship once I recieve the other half of the money. When I get the shipment of RPM switches I'm going to test all of them before I ship them and I'll also take pictures of the RPM switch and DAwes device and where the wires go. To make wiring a little easier.
