Will Rockford Fosgate FRC3206 fit??

Hello,
I'm thinking of getting 6.5" version of
Rockford Fosgate FRC3206 on my
'98 GXE. Sounded best among speakers
at Circuit City. etronics.com is selling
them for $75/pair shipped. Their depth
is 2-9/16in. Thanks for any input or
warnings!

They will fit fine. I have RF's all the way around in my 97. I recommend the component set for the front. Sean

Only front or rear pair needed?

I was about to place the order, but then
I remembered that sometimes you can get
by by replacing only the door mounted
ones...should I go for 2 pairs or only 1?

Also, what would the cheaper subwoofer
install and cost run to?
Thanks

oppaman,

I'm not sure what your desired effect is, but I went with component rf's in front (169), regular rf's for the back (99), 2 10" rf punch subs (69 ea), first six speakers powered by rf amp punch 300x (249), subs powered by rf punch 200m mono sub amp (200), system crossed over with a rf active crossover (127), current headunit is a jvc cd deck. System sounds great. Personally I would replace all 4 speakers but it really depends on what you want for a system, if price is an issue and you want decent sound I guess you could get away with a 4way amp powering the front speakers and the sub, just not what I would recommend for a balanced system. You can install everything yourself, lots of resources available, if you order from crutchfield they have free tech support. You can also save alot if you build your own sub box. Hope this helps. Sean
