PIAA Ion Crystals or PIAA Super Plasmas? You decide!
PIAA Ion Crystals or PIAA Super Plasmas? You decide!
I am really split over this decision. I really love the yellow look with the HID's but then again, I want the fogs to match. Since I am 50-50 with this, I will let you guys decide for me.
If anyone has pics of the Ion Crystals or Super Plasmas, post it here please.
Thanks!

Avoid the Ion crystals. The light is yellow, but the source looks like crap. Sort of like a standard halogen bulb. To get the Lexus look you'll have to paint your foglight casing or get yellow HID's.

I'm not sure what Ion Crystal bulbs will look in a stock fog light, but I have a whole PIAA Ion Crstal lamp set and it looks exactly like Lexus's fogs.
I was thinking the same thing. I want the lexus look but then again...im really contemplating putting the hanabi h3 kit in my fogs too!!!!!Damn that would look sick and get eyebrows for the fogs to block some of the light that reaches upward.............ooooooooo "im droolin"

Well I had PIAA ION crystan bulbs on my 2k2 and I didnt like they way they looked on that car. They looked a lot better on my 99 I had. The reason being when you look at the fog light there are all the colors in there ie...green, red, etc... So now that I just had my foglights rewired I will be buying the PIAA plasmas.

I don't have any pictures as I don't have a digi camera. Sorry. I ordered the PIAA Ion Crystal 510 kit from ebay. It was a brand new kit, cost me $155 to my door. Been satisfied for over the past year.
well after trying out 3 brands of fog bulbs i decided on none of them
1st: Hella Yellow Stars (85watt)
2nd: 3a Hyper White (55watt)
3rd: Piaa Super White (85watt)
all three of these bulbs looked like a$$ compard to my Hanabi 6k purple kit. I was even suprised that my corner(rewired) and clearance bulbs (polarG hyper whites) still looked good next to the HID.
my last attempt at trying to have decent looking fogs will be with the Piaa Super Plasma H3 bulbs. Ill post my reactions to them once their in.

I debated the exact same thing for my H3 fogs. I decided to go with PIAA Crystal Ions, and I've been very happy with them. It is a nice contrast to the HIDs, and my PIAA Superplasma clearance lights. I wouldn't say it looks like the yellow on a Lexus, because it has a slight bluish tint to it too. It looks great in my opinion, and really turns heads.
id like to recant what i posted earlier and say that my Piaa SW 85watt H3's actually look 100x better at night with the HID than they do during the day. So i guess im sticking with these until i feel like blowing $65 on the Super Plasmas.
