shaved door moldings?

has anyone shaved the door moldings on their 4th gens? It looks like it's just held on with glue or something. I don't know i could be wrong, but has anyone done this, and if so, does it look really bad, or does it make the car look cleaner? any help would be apreciated. Thanks.

don't know if you search and will see some pics cuz the pics comes and goes all the time. many poeople did see how the shaved door look like in GTR-headlight-conversion maxima (there are two known ones but I think only the first one is shaved). I think they don't look good or bad, just look strange (maybe the car is white? and look better in black?).

And it's not just glue, there are holes back there. $500+ at a body shop for all four doors.

door MOLDINGS, not handles, i.e., the long skinny piece that goes across both doors under your "se-l" badge.

people who have their handles shaved have spring loaded poppers... when you hit a button the lock releases and the pressure of the spring pops the door out so you can grab the edge and open it
