HID question

I am trying to get my hands on a set of 10000k HIDs. They are not the usual popular brands so, my question is, how do I test them to see if they are a quality product? What am I looking for?

As far as I know, no one really has them..
That's why I wanted to get them for myself and test it out.. Just need pointers on what to look for.

the truth is time will only tell. have you seen them on, i would say that if it's a real 10,000k kit it would not be bright at all.

when we came out with the hanabi 8000k kit we had to make a new kit because it had to be stronger for the deeper color. now with the 7000k kit that just came out it is useing the stronger kit but at the same time it has less of a blue tint than the 8000k bulbs. it took us about 3 months just to come up with the 7000k bulbs after all testing was done.

so for a kit to be 10,000k it has to a very strong kit just to make up for the dark color of tint. i hope you are using this kit for show only because the cops are going to know who you are with that dark tint of color. thats why i have the 7000k kit on my car.

the best thing to do is to find some-one that has them for a while and at the same time you can see what they look like. 10,000 is a big step.

Freddie, I called you yesterday abou my 6000k kit. Well, I was wondering, how much is the 7000k kit. Also, how bright is the 8000k compared to the 7000k. I want the blue tint though...i saw it on an 2002 Escalade aroound here in the headlights and fogs and it was sick...

the 7000k kit is the same price as the 8000k kit. $420 with shipping & insurance.

8000k kit has a nice blue tint to it that alot of ppl like.

7000k has less blue tint and at the same time it is using the same balast as the 8000k so it makes it brighter than the 8000k.

last night i got about 20 e-mails just on the 7000k kit.

420 bucks sounds like a lot for just some headlights, wiring harness and a set of eurolite bulbs looks just as blue as any of the HID kits I saw. All of the HID kits I see is purple anyways.

True indeed, Freddie is a great guy and sell a darn good HID kit for the price. I mean Im getting my second HID kit from him on Friday, and its gonna cost me more than the first time. I have faith in Freddie, he has looked out for everyone on here that has shown intrest or bought a kit from him. He makes sure that each kit sold, performs like it supposed to, and if it dosen't, he goes out his way to make it right....that what i call excellent customer service....and the light are the S**t

im the first person to call something overpriced, but trust me these kits are worth every penny.

eurolite bulbs arent even in the same state as hanabi hids.

just my opinion.

What i bought from Freddie(8000k) has no comparison to eurolites. When i got it, i was like "DANG" one of the best mods done to my car. When i call Freddie for questions, he took his time to explain everything step by step.
Also when one of my ballast blew and when i called Freddie and told him he had no problem getting me a new one.
Prompt and excellent service!! Great guy to deal with~~ I would recommed him anyday!

H.I.D in a 3rd gen 9004 housing is a very bad idea, your beam pattern is going to be here, there, and everywhere else plus you will be blinding oncoming motorists and people in front of you, my suggestion is don't do it bro. Why not do the E36 headlight conversion then venture of into H.I.D or get 93-94 SE foglights and put h3 HID in those suckers or scratch all that and get some foglights with Hid in them already like Hella, Raybrig etc.

How blinding are these things? I noticed that most of you who responded to this are 3rd/4th gens with 9004 headlights standard US beam...

HID+No horizontal cutoff=blinding, something that I don't want to see in my rearview mirror on oncomming. My question is...do you guys lower your headlights when you guys put these in? Do you guys get flashed? How is the beam pattern with the extra output? Is is scattered, blotchy?

I haven't been following up on the HID's on this site but do you sell H4's for the 5th gens?

H4+Horizontal European cutoffs=less annoying

Does the HID kit consist of the entire lamp, do you just replace the bulb? does wiring need to be changed?

Is replacement as easy as putting 9004 piaa bulbs in place of the stock ones?

you install the bulbs in the housing.

then you conn the bulbs to the ballast (2 wires).

then you conn the balast to your factory harness.

do the other side and your done.

Actually if you aim them down they work fine. I got MC in my 3rd gen and they look tight

When I first out mine in I used to get constantly but then I adjusted my lights down I get no flashes at all. But I do get alot of double takes when people see a 3rd gen with no paint job on steelies with HIDs.

Whats MC?

When it comes to HID......been there done that.

I had HID in my old 3rd gen and I did aim it down but the glare was all over the place, there was no horizontal cut-off, plus in those glazed headlight assemblies they don't really serve their purpose so whats the point? I consider HID more for function rather than see how many heads I turn in a old 3rd gen on bs 15" steelies.

Most people are just uneducated when it comes to HID.
